The day that Mr. Stewart’s students have been eagerly waiting for has finally arrived––a field trip to the Supreme Court! During the tour, Marquis and his classmates are encouraged to ask questions, highlighting the importance of curiosity in the learning process.

How many justices are seated in the Supreme Court? What is the difference between the chief justice and the associate justices? Why do justices wear black robes? These are just a few of the questions that are answered. The students also learn the role the President of the United States plays in the Supreme Court and how justices are elected to serve.
